Autonomous Fire-Fighting Robot

A complete autonomous mobile robot capable of detecting, approaching, aiming at, and suppressing fires.

SolidWorks Mechanical Design Embedded Systems Computer Vision Actuators Control

Why this mattered

Create a reliable physical system that combines mobility, fire detection, aiming, actuation, sensing, power, electronics, and navigation in a single prototype.

How I approached it

  1. Led the mechanical and system-level design of the platform.
  2. Designed the chassis, locomotion, actuator mounts, aiming mechanism, sensor supports, and water-delivery assembly.
  3. Integrated motors, drivers, sensors, microcontroller electronics, wiring, computer vision, and navigation control.
  4. Iterated through fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, and validation.

What came out of it

  • 3rd place in the Egypt Industry 4.0 Challenge.
  • Recognized as the 5th best graduation project in Egypt at the Cairo International Innovation Exhibition.
