Autonomous Fire-Fighting Robot
A complete autonomous mobile robot capable of detecting, approaching, aiming at, and suppressing fires.
Why this mattered
Create a reliable physical system that combines mobility, fire detection, aiming, actuation, sensing, power, electronics, and navigation in a single prototype.
How I approached it
- Led the mechanical and system-level design of the platform.
- Designed the chassis, locomotion, actuator mounts, aiming mechanism, sensor supports, and water-delivery assembly.
- Integrated motors, drivers, sensors, microcontroller electronics, wiring, computer vision, and navigation control.
- Iterated through fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, and validation.
What came out of it
- 3rd place in the Egypt Industry 4.0 Challenge.
- Recognized as the 5th best graduation project in Egypt at the Cairo International Innovation Exhibition.
